Carmelite Symposium

Carmelite Symposium
Our Sisters with Father General Miguel Márquez Calle, OCD and Fr. Daniel Chowning, OCD

In late summer, four of our Sisters attended the CINA (Carmelite Institute of North America) Symposium in Washington D.C., joining other Nuns, Friars, and Secular Order Members of both branches of the Carmelite Order. The days of learning, exploring, community, and dialogue bestowed rich blessings on all the attendants, especially since our Father General Miguel Márquez Calle, OCD, was present!

Fr. General Miguel and Fr. Daniel Chowning, OCD with all of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns in the Queen of Carmel Association who participated in the Symposium.

Our Sisters with Mr. Rawn Harbor, who accompanied our Liturgy with the piano, and our Carmelite Brothers from the Washington and Oklahoma provinces.

Br. Vladamir, OCD was a faithful driver for the Sisters who needed assistance.

To conclude his conferences with the nuns, Father General taught them hand motions to an Irish Blessing.
